Innovation Surveys |
The BRITE project was successfully completed in December 2007. For more information about CRC for Construction Innovation projects.
The BRITE team ran a large scale national innovation survey in 2004.
2004 Innovation Survey
The survey ran from March to June 2004. It was sent to more than 1300 businesses in the commercial building and road and bridge sectors across Australia, including main contractors, trade contractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients.
The survey achieved a response rate of nearly 30%, which is an excellent result compared to similar studies. This high response rate reflects the interest businesses take in improving their performance. It also means that the research team can be confident that the results are truly representative of the industry:

Background
The BRITE Innovation Survey builds on the success of two previous surveys:
- the Australian Building and Construction Industry Innovation Survey, by an alliance headed by Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) in 2001
- the Queensland
Road Industry Innovation Survey, by Queensland University
of Technology in 2002.
